Bottomless ysters, Free-Flowing Wine And A DJ? Rossi’s Sell-Out Oyster Night Is Back

Notte delle Ostriche event poster promoting Rossi's Night of the Oysters on 17 September in Prahran

If your ideal night out involves oysters, good wine and zero counting how many you’ve had, Rossi has your September plans sorted.

After selling out its first event earlier this year, Notte delle Ostriche (Night of the Oysters) is returning to Rossi on Greville Street for one night only, and it’s shaping up to be even bigger.

On Thursday, 17 September, the Prahran favourite will transform into a lively celebration of Australia’s best oysters, flowing wines and good company, complete with live DJs and a brand-new mussel station.

Safe to say, you’ll want to arrive hungry.

Oysters. And then some more oysters.

The star of the evening? Bottomless freshly shucked oysters from the renowned Moonlight Flat Oysterage on the Clyde River Estuary in Batemans Bay.

Expect three exceptional varieties flowing all night:

  • Moonlight Kisses
  • Rusty Wire
  • Claire de Lune

Dress them up your way with champagne mignonette, yuzu ponzu, hot sauces and fresh lemon, then head back for another round.

And another.

New this year: A mussel station

As if endless oysters weren’t enough, Rossi is introducing a dedicated Portarlington mussel station, serving up steaming bowls of cozze alla marinara throughout the evening.

There’ll also be homemade focaccia, Italian fries and pizza marinara making the rounds, ensuring nobody leaves hungry.

Wines worth lingering over

To match the seafood feast, Rossi has curated a lineup of Australian wines selected by Group Sommelier Laurent Rospars, showcasing standout drops from Victoria, New South Wales and Western Australia.

Alongside the wines, guests can enjoy Rossi Lager, sparkling, soft drinks and water, all included until 9pm.

With DJs providing the soundtrack and oysters flowing from multiple stations throughout the venue, expect more party than formal dinner.

One night only

Whether you’re an oyster enthusiast or simply looking for an excuse to gather your crew for something a little different, Notte delle Ostriche delivers one of Prahran’s most unique dining experiences.

The first event sold out.

Don’t expect this one to hang around either.
