If your New Year’s Eve plans involve good food, great drinks and a little bit of glamour, Chapel Street has you covered.
This December 31, Omnia Bistro and Yūgen are serving up two ways to send off 2026 — whether you’re after a sophisticated dinner or a proper countdown party.
Dress up, gather your favourite people and settle in for an elegant New Year’s Eve dining experience at Omnia Bistro.
Enjoy Omnia’s signature à la carte menu, with a minimum spend of $130 per person, redeemable on food and drinks.
There are two sittings to choose from:
Early sitting: Arrive between 5:30pm and 6:30pm for a two-hour dining experience. Perfect if you’ve got more celebrating planned later.
Late sitting: Arrive between 8pm and 9pm for a longer evening, with the venue closing at 11:30pm.
For groups of seven or more, a group set menu is available at $125 per person. Contact the venue to arrange your booking.
It’s a pretty good way to finish the year.
More interested in dancing your way into 2027?
Head downstairs to Yūgen for a New Year’s Eve party featuring a welcome cocktail, roaming canapés, live DJs and entertainment.
Tickets are $85 per person, with entry from 10:30pm and celebrations running until 1am.
It’s an adults-only, standing-room event, so come ready to mingle rather than settle in at a table.
A few things to know: canapés are served between 10:30pm and 11:30pm, dietary requirements cannot be accommodated, and party tickets must be purchased separately — even if you’ve already booked dinner at Omnia.
Start the evening with a beautiful dinner, head to the party afterwards, or pick the experience that suits your idea of a perfect New Year’s Eve.
Either way, South Yarra is looking like a very good place to be when the clock strikes midnight.
When: Thursday 31 December 2026
Where: Omnia Bistro, 625 Chapel Street, and Yūgen, 605 Chapel Street, South Yarra
Bookings: Essential. Dinner reservations and party tickets are separate.
