Ladies, this one’s for you. An ode to high heels of leather, pleather and suede. Thin straps, pointy toes and stilettos. The pair that fit just right, and the pair that are just ever so slightly too small, or too big. Expensive and expensive looking. The lot.
We all agree that heels complete an outfit. They make us look taller, leaner and like we’ve got our s**t together. Like we’re proper grown ups, who can gracefully glide across pavements, or grass, or even uneven stoned surfaces. While high heels LOOK great – the practicalities are something else. We’re talking throbbing toes, blisters (oh, the blisters!) and a continuous numb feeling you get at the balls of your feet. Whether it’s an hour at a bar, or a whole day at the track – heels, while looking amazing, make our feet absolutely ACHE.
We’re here to let you know that you’re not alone, and to give you a few tips for looking after your feet during the Spring Racing Carnival. Because we know that our sweet tootsies are going to be put under some real pressure as we hop (sometimes literally) from breakfast, to raceway, to bar – before gloriously kicking those babies off as soon as you walk through your front door.
