Each January, the Australian Open draws players, fans and locals alike flock to the precinct’s renowned restaurants and bars, adding to the unmistakable summer energy.
Australian tennis star Thanasi Kokkinakis has already shared his favourite Chapel Street spots including Marbl Steakhouse Prahran and Yugen Dining, and you never know who you might spot!

At Prahran Market, the Australian Open will be playing on the big screen in Market Square, with Trader food and drink offers to enjoy while you watch.

Chapel off Chapel in Prahran is hosting seven fabulous shows featuring local performers across music, cabaret and theatre. Whether you’re a long-time festival fan or discovering Midsumma for the first time, there’s something to spark curiosity and celebration.
