Tucked away just off Chapel Street in the heart of Prahran, The MC Showroom is an independent black-box theatre celebrating bold storytelling, live performance and creative expression since 2017.

Founded by creative partners Mangmang Miao and Craig Bryant, this intimate and vibrant venue has established itself as a welcoming home for Melbourne’s independent performing arts community, championing emerging talent alongside established artists.

Featuring two distinctive performance spaces, The Showroom and The Clubroom, the venue presents a diverse and ever-evolving program of theatre, comedy, cabaret, musicals, live music, dance and experimental performance. The MC Showroom is also a regular participant in Melbourne’s major arts festivals, including Melbourne Fringe, the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and Midsumma.
