From world-class skate competitions and global music festivals to comedy, musicals and lively market experiences, there’s plenty happening across the precinct from March to May.
🛹Roller Freestyle World Skate Games Qualifier
Saturday 14 March | 9am – 7pm, Prahran Skate Park
Inline skating fans are in for an exciting day as Melbourne hosts Australia’s first-ever World Skate Games qualifying event.
Legendary Japanese world champion Takeshi Yasutoko will headline the event, showcasing his incredible skills alongside Australia’s top inline skaters as they compete for the chance to represent Australia at the World Skate Games later this year.
🥁🌍Stonnington Rhythm & Culture
Saturday 21 March | 12pm – 6pm, Prahran Square, Cato Street, Prahran
Music, global street food and culture take centre stage at Stonnington Rhythm & Culture, a vibrant free community celebration lighting up Prahran Square.
The afternoon will feature an exciting program of performances including African drumming, Japanese taiko, Sri Lankan dance, Mauritian rhythms and Latin-inspired music, creating a lively soundtrack across the square.

🎶🌈Melbourne Rainbow Band Free Park Concerts!
March – May | Various dates
Pack a picnic and enjoy an afternoon of uplifting music as the Melbourne Rainbow Band performs a series of free outdoor concerts across parks in the precinct.
Gather friends and family, relax among beautiful green spaces and enjoy a vibrant mix of musical favourites — perfect for a laid-back autumn afternoon. Pick up a picnic from one of Chapel Street’s cafés or restaurants and make an afternoon of it.

💃MahaSvara Rhythms: A Celebration of Culture and Motion
Saturday 2 May | Prahran Square, Prahran
Experience the vibrant traditions of Indonesia at MahaSvara Rhythms, a festival celebrating Indonesian culture through food, music, dance and interactive workshops.
