We were just talking art/fashion mash-ups with Gorman and Mirka Mora‘s new collab. And here comes another fresh example. Melbourne designers Leroy and Eli Pausigere (their label is – duh – Leroy & Eli) debuted their first fashion collection with an art exhibition at ArtBoy gallery.
They’ve created a series of paintings lampooning pop-culture, high fashion and consumerism to complement their new range of small-run statement tees plus they’ve pulled in their friend AKAndii ART to contribute some sculptural works too. We admire their anti-polyester stance and can’t help but get a giggle out of their ‘Oh Candice’ tee emblazoned with the slogan “Leather pants are unforgivable…unless you’re Candice Swanepoel”. Would still wear them though.
The fashion and art exhibition is on now until Saturday 30th July. You can shop it too!
