I believe that Melbourne dominates on the street art scene.
I recently spent a month in NYC expecting to be blown away by the street art and what do I find…? That Melbourne does it better! I like to visit Artists Lane near Tyranny of Distance. I also love Kaffeine’s piece in Hosier Lane; part of her Heartcore book project.
I believe that having plants indoors helps you feel good.
Green is the colour of balance and harmony. It’s a great anchor of the heart and the emotional, creating equilibrium between the heart and the head. I love peace lilies because they are so hard to kill and they flower every year.
Pleasure & Pain
I believe that Australia’s Funniest Home Videos will always find screen time.
Nothing is funnier than watching someone hurt themselves! I hurt myself all the time, just yesterday I tripped over my dog. I did actually cut my foot open last year out riding with him, he stopped to poo and pulled me right off my bike.
I believe that margarine should be banned.
It’s totally toxic! Clean eating is a passion of mine and I notice a lot of that kind of stuff popping up in the area. I’m totally cool with butter though.
I believe roller-blading is making a comeback.
I still rollerblade, particularly along the foreshore which is beautiful. And I just bought a push scooter yesterday so I’ll be scooting around too. I don’t trust myself on anything motorised.
As founder of revolutionary retail art gallery Signed & Numbered, human keeper to a (disaster-inducing) whippet named Dexter and co-collaborator on new planter design company Ivy Muse Jacqui has a lot on her plate.
